Volunteer Opportunities

Worship Services

Volunteers make the Sunday morning services happen. Greeters, ushers, Sunday School teachers, child care assistants, people to get the sanctuary ready, help with the music, help with the coffee hour and many other important roles -- all are volunteers.  Please join us, whether to help regularly or occasionally.  This is an excellent way to get to know your fellow UUs and be part of our exciting new church from the beginning. Adopt A Highway

UUCD will participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program. We await the state’s confirmation of the highway assigned to us. This will be a great opportunity for UUCD individuals and families (ages 12 and older) to work outdoors together three times a year. For more information, email Social Action at contact@uucd.org.

Homeless

The Dover Shelter Program needs volunteers to cook or provide food. For more information, email Social Action at contact@uucd.org.

Adult Religious Education

We seek volunteers to serve on the Adult Religious Education committee. A background in Unitarian Universalism is helpful. Responsibilities include working directly with the minister, researching topics and curricula, recruiting teachers, and developing a plan for adult spiritual enrichment.
